BRONWEN HENRY at Be Well Bakery & Cafe

Were you lucky enough to nab reservations to this Saturday's Be Well Bakery & Cafe (& gallery!) opening of Bronwen Henry's art work?  We bagged three!!  6:00 p.m. show - featuring the delightful vocal stylings of singer/song writer MICHELLE CHAPIN, with the bonus of readings by CHELSEA ODHNER.  Give them a call or stop by - might be some seats left for the best pizza on this or any other planet (and available just once a month)!

Bronwen is not someone to describe - she's someone to be experienced, either in person, or through her art.

Go.  Eat - the food is the area's best kept most eagerly shared secret Listen - Michelle's song & sprightly delivery are always something special (I get to listen to her all the time, 'cause I bought her cd) and Chelsea will add her unique touch.  Buy - Bronwen's art work has got to qualify as the savviest purchase of the year, maybe decade.

Courageous Creativity:   Join us for an evening celebrating the fun and imaginative spirit we all have within us. Featuring the paintings of Bronwen Henry, and music of Michelle Chapin. With special guest Chelsea Odhner.

Bronwen Mayer Henry

Bronwen is more likely to describe herself as “a person facing her fears while holding a brush” than an artist. Though she is warming to the latter title as she gets increasingly oriented to the very real possibility that she just might need painting like a five year old needs a bike. After a long hiatus from painting, Bronwen picked up a brush again…and this time with purpose and courage. While navigating the throws of parenting young children, and a (thyroid) cancer diagnosis, Bronwen chose to paint with the intent to face fears that were joyful rather than terrifying. Her recent works will be on display and for sale (prints available).

Michelle has been playing ukulele locally for four years. It all started with a deep love affair with really bad pop songs, and attempting to turn them into cute (almost listenable) tunes. While still indulging that first love, she's has recently been focusing on writing new material, discovering the creative processes is like a muscle: the more you practice using it, the easier it becomes. She draws inspiration from life events such as an apartment flood, or finding a Valentine's card from 1st grade recently dislodged from the back of an old drawer. She'll be playing her new music as well as some old favorites, and of course a few covers.

The evening will also feature the spoken-word and music of special guest Chelsea Odhner.
