Moreland House - Warminster Treasure
Our love of King of Tarts Bakery lead us to discover Moland House, a local treasure we'd driven past time & again without connecting, "This is a place to check out!" Located directly off Old York Road, it has quite a history - twice, the Continental Army camped on its grounds & Moland House itself served at one point as Washington's headquarters. The Marquis de Lafayette was familiar with Moland House, as was Count Casimir Pulaski. And I had NO idea it was literally just up the road.
Best time to get to know Moland House? During its Cabin Fever Craft Show! From November 28-December 6, you'll find pottery, floral arrangements and wreaths, primitive items, candy, cakes, dips and savory treats, garden slates and outdoor garden decorations, wall decor, scarves, fabric bags and baskets, jewelry, and much much more, all in an amazing setting. (Imagine George finding some just-right treasures to give Martha!)
